Glow Up ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered skincare companion. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Information you provide:

• Skin type, age range, gender, skin concerns, sun exposure level, and routine preferences (collected during onboarding)
• Subscription status (managed by RevenueCat)

Data generated by the app:

• Skin classification results (severity assessments for 6 skin conditions)
• Skin scores and progress history
• Personalised skincare routine recommendations
• Face scan thumbnails (200×200px, stored on your device only for progress tracking)

2. Face Scan Images

When you take a skin scan, your facial image is:

• Sent once to our AI processing partner (OpenAI) for skin condition classification
• Not stored by us or our AI partner after processing
• Not used for training AI models
• Deleted from device memory immediately after classification

A small thumbnail (200×200px) of each scan is stored locally on your device for progress tracking. These thumbnails are never uploaded or shared with any third party. You can delete all thumbnails at any time from Data & Privacy settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To generate your personalised skin score and routine recommendations
• To track your skin progress over time
• To manage your subscription (via RevenueCat)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

OpenAI: Processes facial images for skin classification. Images are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS and are not retained by OpenAI. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat: Manages subscription purchases and entitlements. Receives standard purchase transaction data from Apple. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Storage

All personal data (skin profile, scan history, routine) is stored locally on your device using Apple's encrypted data storage. We do not operate backend servers that store your personal data.

6. Your Rights

• Delete your data: Go to Profile → Data & Privacy → Delete All My Data. This permanently removes all scan history, routines, and profile data from your device.
• Delete thumbnails: You can delete all scan thumbnails at any time from Data & Privacy settings.
• Withdraw consent: You can stop using the scan feature at any time. Previously processed data remains on your device until you delete it.

7. Children's Privacy

Glow Up is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Security

All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. Data on your device is protected by iOS device-level encryption. We do not store passwords or authentication tokens.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
